We are offering an exciting opportunity 100% remote role for an Attorney to join our team in Maine. This role primarily revolves around civil litigation, particularly on the plaintiff’s side, with additional responsibilities related to insurance matters and court attendance.
Responsibilities:
Provide legal representation for clients in civil litigation cases
Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
Advise clients on business and legal transactions
Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
Comply with all legal standards and regulations
Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
Attend court hearings and proceedings
Handle insurance matters for clients
Communicate with clients, colleagues, judges, and others involved in the case
Conduct legal research and analysis of legal problems
Requirements:
Must hold a valid license to practice law in the jurisdiction of employment
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney, preferably with a focus on civil litigation
Demonstrated experience with civil litigation, including trials, hearings, and negotiation of settlements
Proven record of representing clients in civil litigation matters
Expertise in subrogation is highly desirable
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
High ethical standards and professional integrity
Proficient in legal research software and other relevant computer applications
Barred in Maine is required and ability to commute to Maine is required
