Expected Pay Rate:This position is paid on the below task-based structure:
$50 for each question you develop that passes peer review
$10 for each question you peer review
We expect successful workers to average about $30 per hour in earnings.
Schedule:
Set your own schedule, work any time of day, ideally 8 – 40 hours per week.
About This Role:
HireArt is helping an established AI company pioneering new approaches to data development find Environmental Science Subject Matter Experts.
In this role, youll support a research department by developing difficult, domain-specific questions that probe and illuminate the limitations of modern AI models. You’ll also perform peer reviews of questions developed by others.

Undergraduate Degree, Graduate Degree (holder or candidate), faculty, or professional expert in Environmental Science or other relevant field
An academic or professional focus in Environmental Science
Recent experience in the field as a
Professor/Lecturer/Instructor
Graduate Assistant
Undergraduate or graduate level teaching assistant
Researcher
Editorial board member
Consultant, adviser, or professional in the field
Strong English grammar, writing, editing, and proofreading skills
The ability to write clear, thorough yet succinct summaries
Attention to detail in reviewing and editing written materials
Ability to work asynchronously on tasks and occasionally meet live to discuss the tasks
A reliable computer and internet connection
A signed NDA and completed background check are required
Previous experience in Test Item Writing, Exam Development, Exam Scoring, or AI is a huge plus
Commitment: This is an ongoing independent contractor position staffed via HireArt. This role will be remote and is ideal for candidates located in U.S. time zones and able to work at least 8 hours per week. Workers will be able to set their own schedule.
