The Role:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Assembly & Fulfillment Assistant to join our workshop. This position is perfect for someone who appreciates craftsmanship, enjoys working with their hands, and has an eye for quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble and package custom wooden bookshelves and furniture pieces
Perform quality control checks to ensure every product meets our high standards
Use basic hand and power tools to attach hardware such as drawer rails, hinges, and cam locks
Make small adjustments as needed (e.g., quick sanding if a part isnt perfectly smooth)
Organize inventory of parts, materials, and shipping supplies
Identify potential issues in products before they’re shipped
Help improve our assembly and packaging processes
Maintain a clean, organized workspace
What Makes You a Great Fit:
? Comfortable using basic hand tools and power tools (e.g., a drill for driving screws)
? Some experience with hands-on work like assembling furniture, working with wood, or DIY projects
? Sharp attention to detail and willingness to make small quality adjustments (e.g., a quick sanding touch-up if needed)
? Problem-solving mindsetif something isnt fitting right, you can troubleshoot and adjust
? Quick learner who can master assembly techniques with minimal supervision
? Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent quality
Working Environment:
Once trained, you’ll enjoy a relaxed, independent working atmosphere where you can listen to music or podcasts while you work. Our workshop has a calm, creative energy where craftsmanship is valued.
Requirements:
Basic experience with hand tools or power tools (no need to be a carpenter, but you should know how to drive a screw)
Comfortable assembling furniture and working with wood
Commitment of at least 20 hours per week (additional hours available)
Reliable transportation to our workshop
