Task and Responsibilities
Greet bar guests enthusiastically and serve guests in a hospitable manner to ensure positive guest experience.
Understand the proper steps of service, and consistently execute them with efficiency and grace
Actively engage & navigate guests through all beverage and food menus
Describe and suggest food, wine and beverage selections, and take guest order
Understand food and beverage preparation, various alcoholic beverages, and portion sizes.
Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily. This includes stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet
Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to insure product quality.
Abide by all State, Federal and Company requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
Input orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest, including those served by other beverage servers, to maintain accountability of all beverages served.
Receive cash from guests, make any change needed, verify validity of charges, record charges
Lock and store all beverage, food and other equipment items, deposit cash drops and secures bank.
Maintain positive rapport by communicating consistently with all levels of staff, guests, and external clients,
Monitor guest feedback and communicate findings to management
Report the breakage, loss or theft of any restaurant property
Assist with events to ensure all onsite functions are executed successfully.
Adhere to all company procedures as it pertains to personal appearance, attendance and conduct
Ensure DOL/Health Department compliance as it pertains to the operation

Food and beverage pairing
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and ability to drive sales
Energetic, enthusiastic, highly motivated and passionate about hospitality, food and beverage.
Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to diffuse challenging situations and resolve conflicts.
Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges

Physical Demands
Involves standing most of the time. Also involves repeated reaching with arms and hands, carrying objects less than 40 lbs and bending and stooping. May include possible lifting and moving objects of 40lbs or more.
Position Requirements
2-3 years previous experience at a fine dining high volume restaurant.
Knowledgeable on spirits/cocktails /wine, all aspects of service.
Barista knowledge
General knowledge of food preparation methods and culinary terminology.
Ability to work a variable schedule, including weekends, and shifts from morning through late night
Proficient computer skills Microsoft, Toast, Craftable
