A renowned wine portfolio is hiring a National Account Director to manage their Walmart & Target business. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fine wines and able to maintain & grow relationships within Walmart, Target, & Sam’s Club in order to further develop brand presence. This candidate will be able to provide creative solutions and deliver… these solutions using strong presentation skills. Additionally, they should have experience working closely with wine & spirits wholesalers.
Responsibilities
Work closely with major wholesalers to build portfolio presence in Walmart, Target, & Sams Club
Collaborate with Brand teams, trade marketing, finance, and local sales teams to implement sales strategies vs annual growth targets
Manage annual budgets & measure ROI to ensure effective spending
Monitor programming compliance for each state
Qualifications
7+ years of distributor and/or supplier sales experience within adult beverage (wine, beer, spirits, etc)
Recent and relevant experience calling on Walmart
Competitive, hunter mentality with data-driven sales acumen
Preference for candidates who have previously sold premium/story-driven brands vs volume/commodity
Based near a major airport within the continental US
