How you’ll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
The Co-Op Ergonomics, Health and Wellness will support the Airport Customer Service division in adapting infrastructure, technology and job processes for our Front Line agents. The successful candidate will support technology projects, training programs, and procedural adherence for frontline above-wing, below-wing, Cargo, Clean and GSE employees that will reduce the Global Injury Rate for the division and the company. This role will cover the efficient movement of baggage, cargo, and passengers throughout the travel ribbon with a goal of reducing load exposure (weight), volume, and body mechanic hazards from our agents. Additionally, this role will support Health and Wellness initiatives, programs and processes within the team.
Specific functions of this position include but are not limited to:
Fosters an environment where safety is a core value by providing support, training, accountability and recognition
Supports the development and implementation of strategies to reduce the risk of employee injuries and aircraft damages
Support project development of large-scale technology initiatives related to Ergonomics
Leads and assists Ergonomic related investigations across the system
Supports day-to-day operations and management of existing programs related to Health and Wellness or Ergonomics
Using data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc); digests and interprets injury and behavior data, draws recommendations, seeks consensus, and supports actions to improve Safety Behaviors
Using Project Management tools, ensures that accurate project plans, investigations, and close-out of safety improvement initiatives are managed effectively
Supports communications strategy for stakeholder groups to report on project status; collects and organizes feedback and action items; and provides regular updates to stakeholders, sponsors, and others involved in the project including executive summaries and formal presentations
Escalates problems as necessary to ensure awareness and assistance with resolution
Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
What You Need To Succeed (minimum Qualifications)
Pursuing Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Aerospace/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering,
Occupational/Industrial Safety, Biomechanics/Kinesiology
Practices safety conscious behavior plus has strong analytical and written/oral communication
Skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
Must be able to learn, interpret and follow a variety of laws, rules, and regulations
Must be able to work in a time sensitive environment with minimal supervision, be a self-starter,
highly motivated
Candidates should have a strong history of collaboration
Some travel and non-standard work hours may be required
Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
