Composite Fabricator – (no experience necessary ) with Security Clearance

• NOTE** – College students who have no experience and want experience OR individuals who are interested with no experience, and willing to learn are encouraged to apply Job Functions:
• Fabricate composite parts, which may include bonding prep, tool prep, ply kit generation, lamination, vacuum bagging, de-molding, trimming, and part handling
• Handle perishable materials, paying close attention… to expiration dates, out time life, and traceability information
• Follows all planning, visual aids, and process work instructions. These instructions, in combination with part specific tooling, are used to fabricate composite parts and bonded assemblies.
• Operate handheld tools. (e.g.) Scissors, razor knives, grinders, drills, sanders, cutting wheels, etc.
• Excels in a team environment, supports other departments or completes other duties as necessary
• Work in both FOE critical and FOE sensitive environments and observe all related safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment Basic Qualification:
• High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of composite manufacturing/fabrication experience or approved composites certificate program.
• Basic computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft applications
• Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work flexible/changing schedules including weekends.
• Ability to work in El Segundo, CA Preferred Qualifications:
• Composite fabrication experience in an aerospace, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment
• Demonstrated mechanical ability and able to work under limited supervision
• Be able to operate autoclave and curing ovens
