POSITION SUMMARY
As a Corporate Development Analyst, you will be instrumental in driving our companys strategic growth through a blend of financial planning and evaluating M&A activities.
You will participate in long-range financial planning and engage in scenario planning to support informed decision-making. You will also establish evaluation frameworks for M&A target identification, perform build/buy/partner analyses, and conduct due diligence on potential M&A targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Planning Responsibilities
Understand the company mission, vision, values, and strategy
Participate in long-range strategic planning
Participate in quarterly detailed budgeting, with an emphasis on revenue and margins
Perform monthly revenue variance analysis
Gather benchmark data to inform strategies for accelerating revenue growth and sales efficiency
Scenario Analysis
Perform sensitivity analysis and stress-test the forecast
Monitor macro and micro economic data to identify opportunities and threats
Manage a portfolio of risks and opportunities
Build scenarios to identify a range of possible outcomes
M&A Responsibilities
Conduct detailed financial analysis to support investment decisions
Collaborate with product teams to conduct build/buy/partner analyses, and develop strategic investment themes and business cases
Establish evaluation frameworks for identifying acquisition targets
Perform due diligence on potential M&A targets
Develop models to assess the impact of significant investments on the companys financial performance
Monitor and report on the performance of significant investments and M&A post-integration
Required
3-5 years experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate M&A, or similar experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
Strong foundational understanding of financial statements
Comfortably interacts with senior executives
Ability to formulate and articulate viewpoints in a clear and succinct manner
Preferred
Experience working in the software industry
Experience using Workday Adaptive Planning or other financial planning tool
