Director of Business Development – B2B
Position Overview…
We seek an experienced and strategic Director of Business Development to lead our growth initiatives and drive the expansion of our business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B sales, subscription sales, and a strong technology background. This role requires a dynamic leader who can identify new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with key clients, and develop strategies to achieve our sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to drive growth and achieve sales targets.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, alliances, and new markets.
Lead and manage the B2B sales, providing direction to achieve goals.
Oversee the subscription sales process, ensuring a smooth customer experience from initial contact through to renewal.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, and product development to align business development efforts with overall company objectives.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform business strategies and identify new opportunities.
Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and attract potential clients.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Technology, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Proven experience (10+ years) in B2B sales and subscription sales, preferably within the technology sector.
Strong understanding of technology products and services, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated success in developing and executing business development strategies that drive revenue growth.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing sales teams.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Willing to travel.
Remote role in the U.S.
Salary: $200,000 – $240,000/yr plus commission & equity
