Director of Business Development – B2B

Position Overview…

We seek an experienced and strategic Director of Business Development to lead our growth initiatives and drive the expansion of our business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B sales, subscription sales, and a strong technology background. This role requires a dynamic leader who can identify new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with key clients, and develop strategies to achieve our sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to drive growth and achieve sales targets.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, alliances, and new markets.
• Lead and manage the B2B sales, providing direction to achieve goals.
• Oversee the subscription sales process, ensuring a smooth customer experience from initial contact through to renewal.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, and product development to align business development efforts with overall company objectives.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform business strategies and identify new opportunities.
• Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and attract potential clients.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Technology, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Proven experience (10+ years) in B2B sales and subscription sales, preferably within the technology sector.
• Strong understanding of technology products and services, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing business development strategies that drive revenue growth.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing sales teams.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Willing to travel.

Remote role in the U.S.

Salary: $200,000 – $240,000/yr plus commission & equity
