Position Overview
We are seeking an Education Specialist to join the Center for Research in Rural Education team and contribute to the impactful work of the grant project (Advancing Support, Preparation, and Innovation in Rural Education). As an Education Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing the delivery and research associated with grant programs across multiple sites. Your… responsibilities will also involve creating and maintaining communication infrastructure to support participant engagement in statewide network.

We proudly administer thegrant project, generously funded by Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies. This project embodies a comprehensive endeavor to alleviate the critical shortage of teachers in rural, bolster the teaching profession statewide, and ensure that students receive instruction from well-prepared and supported educators. We integrate three strategic initiatives: strengthening undergraduate rural teacher preparation, fostering the growth of underprepared and emergency-licensed rural teachers through mentorship networks, and enhancing rural teachers’ access to digital resources.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Education or a related field.
Teacher certification.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a K-12 classroom teacher with expertise in special education and classroom management.
Demonstrated professional communication, organizational, and management skills.
Familiarity with MS Office software.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of educational policies and systems specific.
Understanding of rural schools and communities and associated education challenges.

Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members and the public.
Exercise sound judgment in decision-making.

Physical Demands
This role primarily operates in a standard office environment with extensive keyboarding.
