Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Education Facilitator to join our team for a role within school districts in San Francisco, CA. We are looking for a dedicated professional with a strong background in special education and a commitment to supporting students with diverse needs.
Responsibilities…
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
Provide direct support to students in various educational settings, ensuring that their unique needs are met.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student learning and development.
Utilize assistive technology and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices to enhance student communication and learning.
Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
Work itinerantly throughout the Bay Area, traveling to different school sites as assigned.
Requirements:
Must meet all local and state requirements for an Education Facilitator in California, including:
Valid California Teaching Credential with a Special Education authorization.
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field (Masters preferred).
Prior professional experience in Special Education, including experience as a tenured Paraprofessional or in providing speech-related services.
Experience with AAC Devices is highly preferred.
Valid California driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel between school sites.
Must provide completed professional supervisory references.
