Chesapeake Geosystems is seeking entry level Pipelayers. This position is travel-extensive. The right candidate will be comfortable being on the road.
In this role you will be an essential part of our team that supports geothermal operations. This entry-level role is for someone who enjoys physical work, thrives outdoors in all weather, and wants to start a career in a growing industry focused on sustainable energy.
What you’ll be doing:
Perform manual labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials
Prep and handle fusion pipes, such as trimming and shaping
Operate basic hand tools and equipment under supervision
Assist in the cleanup of job sites
Follow instructions from supervisors and team leads to complete assigned tasks efficiently
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Travel Requirements
Traveling to job sites on the East Coast is expected up to 100%. Travel accommodations and per diem benefits are provided. We are a family-oriented company and prioritize work-life balance. We will have you home for the weekends!
Physical Demands:
Ability to work in an outdoor work environment in all weather conditions
Ability to lift and carry up to 50+ lbs
Ability to bend, kneel and climb for extended periods of time
Must be able to work 10 or more hours per day, between 40-50 hours per week.
What you’ll bring:
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Possess reliable transportation
Willingness to learn and complete all training
Good skills to have:
Ability to work collaboratively with others in a fast-paced environment.
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Attention to safety and ability to follow instructions
Previous experience in construction or related fields is a plus
Previous experience with heavy machinery is a plus
Previous experience with utility work is a plus
