Position: Expert Witness – Construction Defects
Location: Tri-State Area – NY, NJ, CT

One of Metric’s long-term partners is an established forensics leader with a dynamic team driving innovation and excellence in construction consulting. We have started a new search for a licenced general contractor with considerable forensics experience to make a meaningful impact in the industry.
As a Construction & Contracting Expert you play a crucial role in uncovering the truth behind construction-related issues, providing expert insights, and helping stakeholders navigate complex challenges in the built environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough site investigations and reporting, cost estimating for a range of claims including but not limited to construction site accidents, construction defects, third-party property damage & risk management.
Prepare reports that clearly portray causes of failure, extent of loss, and recommended solutions.
Provide expert opinions and analysis to support or refute claims.
Act as an expert witness in legal proceedings, providing testimony based on your findings and analysis
Qualifications
Licenced General Contractor in home state (multiple states preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
15+ years of experience general contracting
Forensics experience
Strong analytical and field inspection skills
Deposition and Expert Testimony experience
Experience with high-rise and/or large-scale buildings (preferred)
Additional:

US driving license
