Position Summary/ Objective
As a part of our growth, we are looking for a qualified candidate to join our team as Flex Account Manager to provide proactive dedicated support to some of our key relationships. This Flex Account Manager will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with existing and new partners, as well as manage a multi-faceted range of responsibilities focused on all aspects of implementation, relationship management and service delivery to our key employer clients and their needs.
This is a full-time position open to a hybrid schedule from our Northampton, Massachusetts office; we offer the flexibility for candidates with flex-benefits experience to work remotely from any U.S city, following an 8:30-5:00pm EST schedule. In order to work remotely, you must maintain a confidential workspace and high-speed internet access.
This position includes but is not limited to the following:
Account Management
Serve as the dedicated contact within the Flexible Compensation Department for assigned employer groups, managing key relationships with clients HR and benefits management teams and their broker/consultants
Proactively identify and support clients needs
Ensure the highest level of responsiveness. Provide the highest level of problem solving, providing regular updates on ongoing matters to clients and/or brokers
Coordinate internally as needed to remain up to date on ongoing processes relative to your assigned clients
Hold quarterly touch-base meetings with your assigned clients and as needed based on the relationship. In addition, conducting a general check in during your quarterly meetings ABG will provide you a checklist of topics to be addressed
Client Renewal Assistance and tracking of renewal status
Become an expert in the Alegeus Portal to assist clients and brokers with processes as needed
Assist with escalated matters relative to key accounts prior to escalation to Management yet also using best judgement to understand when a matter must be reported to Management
Host Alegeus Portal Training sessions as needed
Consistently monitor our ABG shared email inboxes to make sure that you are aware of any issues or challenges your clients may be facing. Constantly keeping your finger on the pulse of the relationship
Take initiative to remain up to date with current IRS Section 125 regulations including changing legislation related to current events
Meet regularly with other Account Managers and Flex Department Manager to provide updates on key relationships
Ensure privacy by following all security and HIPAA guidelines
First-Class Customer Service
Provide leading customer service to all clients, brokers, vendors and any other interested parties
Strategically focused and responsible for client satisfaction, maintaining client communication, and management of the client relationship
Responding promptly to all client/broker email requests
Assist in creating special processes for clients in collaboration with other departments as needed
Assist with escalated customer service matters relative to key accounts prior to escalation to Management
Assist with open enrollment processing for clients not assigned during the peak of renewal season
Assist with client presentations for clients not assigned to an account manager
Travel Requirements
Remote position with limited domestic travel approximately 25% of work time (e.g., ABG Home Office, client sites, benefits industry events)
