Overview
The Formulary Maintenance Specialist will provide support to the clinical pharmacists, administer and maintain formularies for pharmacy benefit management, and assist with the residency program and pharmacy students, as directed by the Formulary Operations Manager. This position is classified as highly confidential.

Responsibilities
Assist clinical pharmacist to build and maintain independent formularies.
Responsible for and works with clinical pharmacist to perform formulary comparisons to our standard.
Responsible for and works with clinical pharmacist to keep informed of drug recalls, new medications, studies, etc. and provide daily updates to clinical pharmacy team.
Responsible for and works with clinical pharmacist to organize and maintain pharmacy students and pharmacy resident schedules.
Collaborate with the manager on residency program
Support clinical pharmacy staff in client report generation; includes creation of reports and reporting content as well as producing finished copies of reports for
Serve as a liaison between clinical pharmacy staff and other departments including IT, Customer Service, and Member
Assist in department formulary coverage inquiries.
Assist in the preparation of drug reviews, agendas, and other required materials for the Clinical Advisory Board (CAB) Committee meetings as assigned.
Assist in review of prior authorization criteria requests and maintain prior authorization criteria.
Interact with physicians, pharmacists, and staff in discussion regarding prior authorizations.
Assist in the generation, maintenance and distribution of formulary alternative lists, maintenance drug lists, and new drug to market lists.
Responsible for and works with clinical pharmacist to create, revise and maintain department and policies and
Responsible for and works with clinical pharmacist to proofread and format
Workforce member may have to access Protected Health
Other assigned clinical duties as assigned by clinical
Assist with calendaring and scheduling meetings for the clinical department and coordinate with management.
Facilitate meetings by coordinating arrangements and preparing agenda including coordination of video/conference
Perform special projects as
Promptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department.
Comply with Maxors Ethical Business Conduct policy and Maxors Compliance Program.
Remain free from exclusion under the OIG and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists.
Complete required training, as assigned, within the established timeframes.
Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
Maintain regular attendance in accordance with established policies.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalency ; Licensed Pharmacy Technician required
Experience: 5 or more years pharmacy experience PBM or Healthcare experience a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Advanced computer skills to include Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and internet search engines.
Capability of working independently or as part of a team in a friendly corporate

Knowledge of drug names, general drug indications, and therapeutic drug
