Job Title: Virtual Special Education Teacher

Location: Remote (Ohio)

Hourly Pay: $36-$40 per hour

Position Details:
• Fully Remote
• 2024-2025 School Year
• 1099 Contract
• Support students with diverse disabilities
• Specific caseload details provided during the interview

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, school administrators, and other professionals.
• Utilize assessment tools to evaluate and track student progress, adapting instruction as necessary.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and specialists to facilitate effective inclusion and accommodations.
• Employ diverse teaching strategies to meet the varied needs of students.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and achievements.
• Establish open communication with parents and guardians to support their child’s educational journey.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and other school-related activities as needed.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Teaching/Special Education
• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification in Ohio
• Experience working with students with special needs is preferred
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and awareness of current best practices in special education
• Familiarity with virtual learning environments is a plus
