About the Role
VocoVision is seeking a dedicated virtual Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This remote position involves designing, organizing, and implementing effective instructional programs for high school students. The successful candidate will play a vital role in guiding students towards their academic goals, collaborating closely with parents, caregivers, and school staff to ensure individualized support for each student.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and Implement IEPs: Create and execute individualized educational plans (IEPs) tailored to each students specific needs.
Evaluate and Adjust: Continuously assess student progress and adapt curriculum and accommodations as necessary.
Communicate Effectively: Maintain open communication with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and educational needs.
Participate in IEP Meetings: Actively engage in IEP meetings to review student progress and plan future educational strategies.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Education or a related field.
Certification: Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate, or willingness to obtain.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a school setting, with early childhood education experience preferred.
Clearances: All necessary clearances to work in public or charter schools in Arizona.
Availability: Must be available for 35-40 hours per week during the months of November and December (maternity leave).
