Skills
Ability to evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychiatric patients using evidence-based care
Proficiency in prescribing medications and psychotherapeutic treatments for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with a multidisciplinary team
Experience in outpatient practice with a focus on patient-centered care
Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychiatry patients
Prescribe medications and psychotherapeutic treatments
Conduct outpatient appointments with 60-minute new and 30-minute follow-up schedules
Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, social workers, and therapists
Utilize Epic electronic medical record system with dedicated behavioral health templates
Participate in telemedicine opportunities
Qualifications
Requires MD or DO
Current unrestricted Texas medical licensure
Board certification within 3 years of experience
Valid prescriptive license required

Board Certification in Psychiatry preferred
