Lescault & Walderman, Inc. (LWI) is looking for a seasoned US based remote Bookkeeper. This position will perform bookkeeping duties and some assistant controller duties on behalf of our clients across multiple industries as well as communicate directly with these clients. This will be a full-time, 100% remote position.
The position is accountable for the accounting operations of firm clients… to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or International financial reporting standards.
A successful candidate will understand GAAP and be able to work efficiently, proficiently, and effectively in a remote setting. A suitable candidate will thrive in a busy environment, juggling multiple clients while producing timely and quality deliverables.
To excel, the candidate must be personable, enjoy collaboration and work independently to make effective decisions as necessary. The position will be supervised by our Controllers.

Your Role
Transactions
? Record and post day-to-day financial transactions in accordance with the scope of work.
? Enter data, maintain records, and create reports and financial statements in accordance with the scope of work.
? Process accounts receivable/payable in accordance with the scope of work.
? Ensure that payroll is processed timely, posted/integrated, and reconciled in general ledger in accordance with the scope of work.
? Perform weekly soft closes for bank and credit card accounts in accordance with the scope of work.
? Ensure that bank and balance sheet account reconciliations are completed in accordance with the scope of work.
? Maintain and organize client accounting documents and client email communications.
? Maintain asset and liability schedules, cash, and accrual in accordance with the scope of work.
? Prepare 1099 tax documents and sales taxes as applicable.
Reporting and Compliance
? Prepare timely and complete financial statements for the Controllers review.
? Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors and tax preparer as necessary.
? Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Desired Qualifications: The ideal candidate will show strength in the following areas.
? Bachelor of Science degree in accounting with a minimum of 2 years? experience or a minimum of 5-7 years of prior bookkeeping experience
? Public accounting or outsourced accounting experience required.
? Remote work experience required.
? Expert in Microsoft products (Office365 Email, Calendar, OneDrive, Teams, and Excel)
? Proficiency in QuickBooks Online required, Sage Intacct experience a plus.
? Excels working independently and collaboratively.

Salary And Hourly Range
Compensation is for a full-time position at $25-$28 per hour, commensurate with experience
