The Ford Agency is actively recruiting for a part-time HR Manager to work for a financial services firm that provides HR services to small non-profit and for-profit organizations. The Manager will work closely with the COO and clients on a variety of HR processes, compliance with federal, state, and local laws, benefits, talent acquisition, and employee relations. This is an excellent role for a… candidate with a SHRM certificate and solid HR experience who is looking to work about 10-30hours/month.
Responsibilities Include:
Collaborate with the COO to assist with HR needs for a variety of clients
Maintain updated knowledge of compliance, laws, and regulations (federal, state, and local)
Write content for HR blogs and social media
Conduct salary surveys and review with clients
Manage benefits and assist with open enrollment
Manage talent acquisition process, sourcing candidates, interviewing, and hiring
Assist clients with employee relations, performance improvement plans, sensitive questions, and other issues that may arise
Make recommendations to clients on policies and procedures
Qualifications Include:
5+ years HR experience, ideally for a nonprofit
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Multi-state HR experience, including CA and NY
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent attention to detail
Proficiency in Google Suite and Dropbox
Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
