Overview:
The Building Systems Division works primarily as a First Tier Subcontractor to other Prime General Contractors. The Building Systems Division Project Engineer is responsible for providing technical engineering information to the Project Team that typically consist of the BSD Project Manager, Operations Project Manager, Superintendent, Project Field Engineer, and Safety Manager to… ensure design development and construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instructions applicable to one or more disciplines. This position also provides project controls support (cost, scheduling, estimating). This position reports directly to the Direction of BSD Operations.
Location & Travel Details: Youll get the opportunity to travel across the US, helping our team build infrastructure projects. This is primarily a remote position, but the Project Engineer will travel as needed for support of the projects. 25% travel is expected, and may be more depending on the workload and project needs.

Responsibilities:
Ability to handle, manage, and budget time for multiple projects and internal company tasks.
Understand technical drawings and specifications for general construction projects.
Interpret design/drawings for trade coordination and materials.
Prepare field design change requisitions and “as built” drawings, as other project specific items as required
Communication directly with vendors, suppliers, and subcontracts for schedule and delivery needs for varying projects.
Comprehend subcontract language, scope, terms and technical requirements
Plan and develop construction work packages for associated trades specific to Lemartecs scope of work. This may include, and is not limited to civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and process plant systems
Understand detailed project schedules including required predecessors and successors to each activity
Understand quality requirements and industry standards for various construction crafts and perform typical QA/QC duties as required and outlined the Lemartec Field Engineering Handbook
Communications skills in writing and speaking (including technical communications)
Support the Project Managers in analyzing and reporting the progress of subcontractors and other elements of the projects.
Support subcontractors in a manner that adheres to the construction schedule and contract terms
Facilitate technical approvals by the engineers and expedite design development according the engineering schedule and contract terms
Coordinate trade production, and release work in a timely manner to meet subcontract and project schedules
Provide support to the Project Controls Manager for items related tocost, scheduling, and budgeting.
Prepare and disseminate all required documentation records such as QA/QC report, punch lists describing work items to be done, sketches of work completed, material requirement calculations, and other elements of the project(s) as required.
Work to fulfill the requirements identified in the Lemartec Field Engineering Handbook
Adhere to the Lemartec Employee Handbook and Human Resources Policies
Adhere to the Lemartec Safety Manual and OSHA Safety rules
Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager
Frequently lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds

Qualifications:
Qualifications
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or demonstrated similar work experience.
Work and/or Intern experience relative to the role.
OSHA-10
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Understanding of vertical steel construction, and pre-engineered metal buildings
Understanding of design and engineering of large scale projects across all engineering disciplines
Knowledge of construction activities including material, equipment, cost and time requirements to perform construction tasks
General knowledge of building codes, and other code references.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office: Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, AutoCAD, Procore, MS Project/P6, and other Document Control Systems
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment on all phases of an EPC Project with minimal supervision
Bilingual: English/Spanish (preferred)
