BUILDING: Snake River Opportunities High School – Work from home; 6-12 days a year at the District Office (or other designated location) and occasional to consistent face to face meeting with students in the local vicinity.

Qualifications
? Experience working with high school students, particularly seniors, is advantageous.
? Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with teachers, parents, and students.
? Familiarity with virtual learning platforms and online educational tools is a plus.
? Adaptable and dynamic: Embraces the dynamic nature of SROHS, where relationship building is key to meeting the diverse learning needs of our students while maintaining organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Remote Educational Assistant/Paraprofessional for 12th-grade students, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of high school seniors in a virtual learning environment. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting teachers, facilitating student engagement, providing one-on-one support, and fostering a positive and inclusive online learning experience.
? Virtual Classroom Support: Assist teachers in managing virtual classrooms by monitoring student participation, attendance, and behavior.
? Facilitate online discussions and group activities to promote student engagement.
? One-on-One Assistance: Provide personalized support to individual students who may require additional help with assignments, understanding concepts, or organization. Collaborate with teachers to support students. Provide guidance on time management and study skills to help students succeed academically.
? Communication and Collaboration: Maintain regular communication with teachers, parents, and school staff to stay informed about student progress and challenges.
? Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of student progress, interventions, and communication to assist in tracking and reporting student performance.
? Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in virtual education and support strategies.
