Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field with 24 semester hours in accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organizations and management.
Experience: Eight or more years of direct experience in Federal contracting, including at least one year equivalent to the Federal Government GS-14 grade level.
Training: Desired certifications include FAC-C(Professional) or DAWIA in Contracting (Professional), or other relevant non-Federal certifications such as NCMA CFCM and CPCM.
Duties And Responsibilities
Serve as a key technical advisor for procurement of goods and services essential to MCC programs and operations.
Apply expertise in Federal acquisition operations to assist in procurement, including source selection, contract price evaluation, and contract administration.
Administer selected contracts, monitor contractor performance, approve progress payments, and verify deliveries.
Assist in developing statements of work, procurement strategies, evaluation plans, and pricing methodologies.
Prepare solicitations, contract awards, and related documents in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Conduct contract modifications, price/cost analyses, and support budget development for planned procurements.
Coordinate contract closeout activities and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Provide expert recommendations to enhance procurement operations and customer service.
Coordinate complex technical service contracts, including monitoring contractor performance and resolving issues.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Mastery of contracting principles, laws, and regulations governing Federal acquisitions.
Expertise in various contracting methods and contract types.
Strong negotiation skills to protect Government interests and ensure best value awards.
Excellent written and oral communication skills for presenting analyses and findings.
Ability to analyze complex acquisition issues and propose effective solutions.
Capability to manage multiple priorities with short lead times, balancing independence with team collaboration.
