About the Role:
The Senior Manager, Publishing Development oversees a global team responsible for driving journal and article growth activities across Wileys society and proprietary journals. Leading initiatives in a strategically significant subject area, the Senior Manager translates strategic objectives into tactical goals, ensuring alignment with company goals. They are tasked with executing opportunities within their purview, managing resources effectively, and balancing short and long-term organizational needs. This role focuses on stakeholder engagement and feedback, driving development initiatives that respond to both external and internal customer requirements to achieve Research Publishing targets.
How you will make an impact:
? Translate strategic objectives into tactical goals and opportunities for the team
? Balance short and long-term organizational needs, directing team priorities and resources
? Deliver on Research Publishing targets through effective planning and execution
? View work in the context of external and internal customers, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs
? Drive development initiatives based on stakeholder engagement and feedback
? Develop subject area to increase submissions and published output
? Address portfolio gaps through strategic actions to enhance the overall portfolio
? Oversee and implement plans and activities outlined in the annual journal development planning cycle
? Provide leadership and change management for Open Access (OA) publishing at scale
? Foster and maintain internal and external partner relationships
? Demonstrate leadership and effective people management skills within the team
What we look for:
? Bachelor?s Degree
? Journal publishing experience with a track record for developing and growing journals
? Is skilled at persuading, influencing and negotiating and able to negotiate successful outcomes
