How you’ll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
Delta is on a journey to become a world-class retailer, changing the way Delta can sell and service flight and ancillary products and improve the overall customer experience. To achieve this goal, Deltas Retail Strategy is to focus on dynamically manufacturing products, offering the most relevant product to customers in their channel of choice, and servicing those products when plans change.
To enable this effort, the Enterprise Solutions (ES) team is seeking a Retail Order Sr. Product Manager to define a robust and more flexible order data model to replace existing legacy systems which limit how we can service and deliver a more enhanced product offering. In addition, the Product Manager will play a key role in the integration of a new order management system into commercial and operational platforms to serve as a single source of truth for all products sold and attributes of this product needed to appropriately service and fulfill. This role will lead the vision and execution of IT development roadmaps that support our overall Retail Strategy.
We are looking for candidates who are motivated by solving problems, exhibit curiosity to understand current processes, and can think creatively to identify solutions.
Responsibilities:
Act as product manager for agile development teams
Define a vision and roadmap for creating a new retailing order management product for Delta
Build an executable product roadmap that balances business value, timing needs, and development complexity
Partner with stakeholders across the enterprise to drive input on requirements and communicating progress against development roadmap
Drive delivery on short-term initiatives while building future-state enterprise capabilities
Manage transition to order management system without interrupting existing critical business functions
Ensure IT development that properly leverages backend mechanisms and achieves desired business goal.
