A medical device company in Cincinnati, OH is looking for a Senior Verification Engineer.
Overview: A typical day is split into two functions: test method development and then actual running of the test to ensure it meets requirements. Right now, it will be mainly a test development focus and integration of modules into the systems we are going to test. This individual will develop the test, test the test and then integrating the test. This will all occur in an environment that replicates the product environment in test. This individual MUST have experience in both HW and SW and/or firmware. They will understand how they interact and impact one another.
Daily tasks will include
Fixturing of the test equipment
Non-product SW to run the test and do analysis
Validation of non-product SW
Key Responsibilities:
Design test fixtures and develop analysis techniques to test system requirements
Qualify test fixtures and validate test methods
Design and implement design verification protocols. Manage data and perform statistical analysis
Manage documentation effectively, ensuring adherence to quality standards
Work hands-on in the lab and directly with technicians
Collaborate with System Engineers to support requirement development
Collaborate with the development team to optimize processes
Trouble shoot test anomalies and support root cause investigations
Must-Haves:
Strong experience authoring and executing test protocols
Experience with statistical methods for evaluating reliability
Experience with test method validation
Experience with requirement verification at a system level
Robotics or medical device experience
Experience managing and analyzing large data sets
Experience with sophisticated systems compromised of multiple technical fields/sub-systems (e.g. electrical, mechanical, optical, software, etc)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects
Qualifications:
A minimum of 7-9 years of experience in a related field
BS or higher degree in engineering, physics, or related field
Broad knowledge across multiple disciplines including firmware, thermal, optical, software, and electrical
Strong statistical skills and the ability to conduct standard gauge R&R
Excellent documentation and protocol design skills
Proficiency in test fixture qualification
Ability to work hands-on in a lab setting
Strong collaboration and communication skills
