Job Summary:
As the Shipping & Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for executing and improving all aspects of shipping, receiving, warehouse organization, and warehouse transactions in our location. You will collaborate with the production team and the purchasing team to ensure materials are accurately received, moved to the correct location, and available when production needs the materials.

Essential Duties & responsibilities:
Shipping:
Prepare and package outgoing shipments accurately and securely.
Generate shipping labels and documentation for various carriers.
Ensure timely delivery of products to customers while adhering to shipping schedules.
Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to schedule and arrange pick-ups and deliveries.
Receiving:
Receive incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders.
Inspect and record any damaged or defective items and report discrepancies to the appropriate department.
Unload, sort, and properly store received materials or products.
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems.
Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
Monitor inventory levels and replenish materials as needed to prevent shortages.
Ensure the proper storage and organization of inventory to maximize space and efficiency.
Warehouse Organization and Cleanliness:
Organize warehouse storage areas to optimize space utilization.
Keep the warehouse clean and free of safety hazards.
Maintain a tidy and organized workspace to facilitate efficient operations.
Material Movement to Production Area:
Transfer materials and products from the warehouse to the production area as needed.
Coordinate with production staff to ensure the timely availability of materials.
Maintain a smooth and organized flow of materials within the facility.
Other duties as assigned (which includes production activities).
Job requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
3-5 years of shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience.
Forklift experience required
Experience with maintaining information in an ERP system.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and carriers.
Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in a warehouse environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to juggle multiple tasks·
Proactive problem-solving skills·
Ability to lift heavy objects required (up to 50 lbs.)
Requires bending, lifting, standing, walking.
