We are Corporate Systems team within IS&T seeking a UI Engineer to build from the ground up, iOS/MacOS products that impacts thousands of our retail store and corporate users.

Description
As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for the technical design, coding, debugging complex iOS and MacOS applications. You will work with a team of developers to deliver new features for existing applications, bug fixes as well as designing and developing brand new applications and tools to satisfy business requirements across the organization. You’ll work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• 7+ years of software development experience designing and building commercial/enterprise class iOS/macOS/Native Client.
• 5+ years in Swift and/or Objective-C and common Apple frameworks and technologies.
• Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• Design and develop high-performance, scalable, and fault-tolerant apps.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams including UX, Accessibility, to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
• Integrate with backend services using RESTful APIs.
• Implement standard processes for concurrency, synchronization, accessibility and data consistency in the apps.
• Experience with performance – profiling, identifying, and implementing optimization strategies.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in Swift and associated technologiesEducation.
• Experience with XCUnitTests and XCUITests.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, and design with keen eye to best practices and design patterns.
• Proven track record of building highest quality products on time and on budget.
• Strong knowledge of concurrency, scalability and fault tolerant designs. Strong problem solving skills. Effective communicator, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work with all levels of engineers and people in other fields.
• Experience building highly performing and scalable UI components.
• Experience designing applications for accessibility.
• Motivated self-starter and great teammate who thrives working in a dynamic environment and learning new technologies.
• Additional requirements:
• Web development experience.
• Developing hybrid native application: SwiftUI + Web.
• Familiarity with Machine Learning and/or Apple Core ML models.

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
