Description:
• Netflix is seeking a Backend Engineer for Ads Creatives & Policy team.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems.
• Implement and optimize ad creative lifecycle management.
• Develop systems to automate and scale the creative process.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Stay informed about industry trends and technologies.

Requirements:
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on backend development.
• Strong product mindset with experience in delivering large, complex projects in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders (technology, operations, or business-focused).
• General understanding of the advertising marketplace and landscape.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking with demonstrated product sense and leadership in the working environment.
• Experience in building Ad Creatives lifecycle management, including ingestion, encoding, review, and managing and optimizing CDN deployments.
• Familiarity or experience with OpenRTB, AdCOM specs, and the overall programmatic ecosystem.
• Familiarity with legal compliance and the changing landscape of ads regulations worldwide (Nice-to-Haves).
• Familiarity with ML and advertising systems that leverage data to drive optimal outcomes for users and the business (Nice-to-Haves).
• Experience working in the CTV space and knowledge of its unique constraints (Nice-to-Haves).
• Awareness of ads industry technology standards (e.g., VAST, OpenRTB) or experience working on an industry consortium effort or working group (Nice-to-Haves).
