? Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT-related field, or equivalent practical experience.
? 8 years of experience with systems automation, and with systems design and implementation.
? 8 years of experience with systems administration, Linux, networking, identity management, technical infrastructure (e.g., deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting), and reliability of technical infrastructure.
? Experience in automation and coding/programming in Python, Bash Scripting, Terraform, etc.
? Experience with DoD security compliance regimes including DoD CC SRG, NIST 800-53, and CNSSI 1253.
? Experience with OpenSCAP and associated formats, including XCCDF and OVAL.
Preferred qualifications:
? Experience in Google Cloud organization management.
? Familiarity with basic web development and web app security.
? Excellent partner management, follow-through, resourcefulness, attention to detail, and verbal and written communication skills.
About The Job
As a Systems Development Engineer (SDE) for Google Support Systems (GSS), you will develop services and systems at scale. GSS SDEs creatively develop, configure, and maintain internal systems and customer portals. Your work enables Google Public Sector to serve our United States Government customers and ensures customers are able to accomplish mission critical work.
In this role, you will be part of a team of engineers that supports critical internal systems and customer portals. You will drive systems development, identify and implement automating and tooling, and liaise with Engineering teams across Google to develop and coordinate requirements.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $160,000-$246,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
? Drive the development and implementation of Google Public Sector?s core customer support systems, owning all end-to-end technology needs.
? Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and customer experience.
? Perform complex day to day troubleshooting and resolution of Infrastructure issues.
? Liaise with Google engineering teams, collaborating to ensure key customer requirements are implemented.
