We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated tax professional to prepare and review tax returns (Federal, State, & Local) and provide consulting services, tax planning, and research for individuals, partnerships, trusts, corporations, and estates. The depth and breadth of work, along with the educational and other support provided by Cerebral, will yield an optimal environment for continued professional growth. Responsibilities
Work with clients in the healthcare industry and other personal service industries to determine the best tax-saving and bookkeeping strategies
Handle client communications through the use of portal messaging, telephone, and video conferencing
Prepare individual and business returns with multiple states, mostly 1065, 1120S; some 1120 and 1041s
Assist with accounting and bookkeeping to maintain clean books
Prepare tax projections
Respond to inquiries from tax authorities
Tax research for client issues
Qualifications
BA in Accounting or related field
a minimum 5 years of tax preparation experience
Recent work experience in a public accounting firm environment, working with high earning clients and/or medical professionals.
EA or CPA preferred
Must have a take-charge, get things done attitude
Good financial accounting background and solid understanding of financial statements
Experience using UltraTax and QBO
Highly organized/Detail Oriented
Professional written/client communication skills
Gain an understanding of operations, processes, and business objectives, and apply that knowledge to support firm activities
Strong internet connection
