Medication Review, Inc. is the Northwests premier provider of pharmacy services, and offers opportunities for pharmacists and technicians in a variety of practice settings. Current job openings are in our Telepharmacy department. We are looking for well-qualified Pharmacy Technicians to provide remote coverage from our main office in Spokane, WA. Pharmacy Technician must be certified in Washington State.
Job description may include, but is not limited to:
Assists pharmacist in processing physician orders for medications by entering information into various medication management systems in an unverified status; maintains professional work habits by organizing workload, setting priorities, utilizing resources appropriately, completing assignments in a timely manner and adapts well to change. Medication Review is registered with the Washington State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy, providing remote order entry services for acute care hospitals; we do not have any medication on site. We do not sell, trade or distribute legend, controlled or over the counter medication from this location.
Typical Work Duties:
Files and retrieves various pharmacy records as required and / or requested by the pharmacist
Work independently – Responds to questions not requiring a pharmacists professional judgment
Assures any credit and billing tasks are completed in a timely and thorough manner
Attends to customers/nonprofessional calls in a courteous and timely manner
Serves as liaison between the client and pharmacist
Recognizes departures from the norm and discusses with pharmacist
Orders medication/aids in inventory maintenance at remote facilities
Assists with automated dispensing device inventory verification
Performs various and basic computer functions / database management
Retrieves specific clerical and other patient information from patient profile as directed by the pharmacist
Ensures assigned work areas and equipment are clean and orderly
Ability and Requirements:
Ability to understand oral and written directions from registered pharmacists, organize and perform work effectively and accurately, operate computers, word processors, understand medical terminology, conceptualize and communicate improvement in functioning pharmacy procedures. Current Washington State Pharmacy Technician License, in good standing.

Must have WA Technician Certification
2+ years pharmacy / hospital experience preferred
