Summary: Full Time Monday- Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. , Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Position is remote after 1 month of in person training at our Hummelstown Office. Must be a resident of Central Pennsylvania.

Ensures that blood collection goals are met by telephone recruiting the appropriate donors to the fixed sites and mobile blood drive operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Calls potential blood donors and answers incoming calls.
• Telerecruits appropriate donors based on inventory needs. Calls potential donors and answers incoming calls by following script guidelines. Uses assertive communication to secure appointments.
• Performs reminder calls and no-show calls.
• Schedules next appointment for donors at the donor sites.
• Meets individual and team goals to complete a minimum number of dials and appointments per hour.
• Responsible for presenting a positive public image when interacting with donors and representing a donor site. Builds rapport with donors through excellent customer service and the use of effective listening skills.
• Maintains accurate records. This includes computer data entry, appointment schedules, and other written records.
• Possesses a clear understanding of the donation process and donor deferral guidelines and procedures. Refers donor inquiries to appropriate personnel. Respects confidentiality regarding donor information.
• Completes other job related responsibilities as apparent or assigned.
• Organizes and prioritizes work each shift based upon guidance from department manager and from the site leader, ensuring goals are met within prescribed standards of quality. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Qualifications:
• Telemarketing or customer service experience preferred.
• High school graduate preferred.

Requirements:
• Required to regularly sit and talk and hear.
• Vision abilities required include close vision, color differentiation, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Continuous use of customer service, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Working Conditions:
• Work is performed remote from home after 1 month of in person training.
