Position Overview:
APEX Global Academy is seeking a skilled and experienced Interview Trainer to prepare middle/high school international students for admission interviews at U.S. private high schools. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the interview process for competitive private schools, strong communication skills, and a proven track record of helping students succeed. You will be responsible for providing personalized training to build students’ confidence, hone their interview skills, and ensure they make a lasting impression on admissions panels.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct one-on-one interview training sessions with high school students, helping them to articulate their strengths, interests, and goals confidently.
• Teach students how to effectively respond to common interview questions and navigate behavioral and situational interview scenarios.
• Develop individualized training plans to address each student’s unique needs, focusing on areas such as communication, body language, and storytelling.
• Provide mock interviews and constructive feedback to help students improve their performance.
• Foster a supportive, engaging environment that encourages students to express their authentic selves during interviews.
• Utilize a variety of training techniques and resources to ensure students are well-prepared for their interviews.
• Monitor students’ progress and provide ongoing feedback to enhance their readiness for real interviews.
• Collaborate with APEX staff to support students’ comprehensive application process.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Psychology, or a related field.
• Experience in interview training or admissions consulting, particularly in U.S. private high school admissions.
• Strong knowledge of private school interview processes and the expectations of admissions panels.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and training skills.
• Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and tailor training strategies to meet individual needs.
• Familiarity with online teaching tools and platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven success in helping students secure admission to competitive private high schools.
• Experience working with international students or students applying to U.S. schools from abroad.
• Experience with curriculum development or instructional design in interview training.
