Description: We are seeking a Virtual Teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in New York. This role involves delivering specialized instruction tailored to individual needs in an online environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that are tailored to the needs of deaf and hard of hearing students.
Utilize adaptive and assistive technologies to enhance learning and accessibility for students in a virtual setting.
Conduct virtual classroom sessions, providing direct instruction, support, and feedback to students.
Monitor and assess student progress through online assessments and assignments, providing timely feedback and grades.
Collaborate with other educators, parents, and specialists to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
Address any challenges or barriers to learning that students may encounter in the virtual environment.
Organize and facilitate virtual parent-teacher conferences and meetings to discuss student progress and goals.
Requirements:
NY State Teaching Certification for Deaf Education.
Masters degree in Deaf Education or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience teaching deaf and hard of hearing students in a school setting.
Proficiency in remote teaching tools and technologies.
